NARUTO SHIPUDDEN

Naruto: Shippuden is an anime series adapted from Part II of the Naruto manga series by Masashi Kishimoto. The series is directed by Hayato Date and produced by Studio Pierrot and TV Tokyo. Naruto: Shippuden is a continuation of the Naruto manga, and continues the same story line after the passing of two and a half years in the Naruto universe. It began broadcasting on TV Tokyo on February 15, 2007.

In 2008, Viz Media and Crunchyroll began providing eight English subtitled Naruto Shippuden episodes on the official Naruto website every week until it caught up to the Japanese anime. In 2009, Viz began providing subtitled versions of the latest Naruto: Shippuden episodes a week after they first air in Japan, with a new episode being added to the Naruto website each subsequent Thursday. Viz had stated the English dub would be released sometime in the near future.

The English dub of Naruto: Shippuden made its U.S. premiere on Disney XD on October 28, 2009. Episodes 1- 296 of the English dub are now available at the iTunes Store, Zune Marketplace and PlayStation Store. The first DVD release of the series in North America was released on September 29, 2009. Episodes 1 through 53 were made and broadcast in 4:3 standard definition fullscreen, while episodes 54 onward were made and broadcast in 16:9 widescreen.

While Naruto: Shippuden was cancelled on Disney XD in October 2011 after 97 episodes, DVD box sets generally containing thirteen dubbed episodes from episode 1 onward are being released quarterly in their uncut format. The English dub was streamed on Neon Alley from its launch in October 2012 and, beginning December 29, 2012 with episode 98, new episodes are released every week uncut. Toonami began airing the series from the beginning on January 4, 2014 in an uncut format.

The series is being released to Region 2 DVD in Japan with four or five episodes per disc. There are currently six series of DVD releases divided by arc. The first covers episodes 1 through 32 over eight DVDs, the second covers episodes 33 through 53 over five DVDs, the third covers episodes 54 through 71 over four DVDs, the fourth covers episodes 72 through 88 over four DVDs, the fifth covers episodes 89 through 112 over six DVDs, and the sixth is currently being released from episode 113 onward. There is also a special feature included with the seventh Naruto: Shippuden compilation DVD based on the second ending of the series called Hurricane! "Konoha Academy" Chronicles. Limited edition of Seventh DVD of "Master's Prophecy and Vengeance" comes with special DVD Behind the Scenes of UCHIHA containing interview mixed with footage from episodes.

SWORD ART ONLINE

Sword Art Online (also known as SAO) is a 2009 Japanese light novel series written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by abec. The series takes place in the near-future and focuses on various virtual reality MMORPG worlds. The light novels began publication on ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko imprint from April 10, 2009, with a spin-off series launching in October 2012. The series has spawned eight manga adaptations published by ASCII Media Works and Kadokawa. The novels and four of the manga adaptations have been licensed for release in North America by Yen Press. An anime television series produced by A-1 Pictures aired in Japan between July and December 2012, with an Extra Edition episode aired on December 31, 2013, and a second season, titled Sword Art Online II, aired between July and December 2014. Three video games based on the series have been released on the PlayStation Portable, PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4. An animated film featuring an original story by Kawahara has been announced.

Sword Art Online has received widespread commercial success, with the light novels having over 16 million copies printed in several countries including Japan, the United States, Taiwan, China, South Korea, Thailand, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The anime series has received critical praise for the exploration of the psychological aspects of virtual reality, while others criticized the series' pacing and writing.

KUROKO NO BASKET

Kuroko's Basketball, known in Japan as Kuroko no Basuke, is a Japanese sports manga series written and illustrated by Tadatoshi Fujimaki. The English rendering The Basketball Which Kuroko Plays also appears in the artwork of the Japanese version. It was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from December 2008 to September 2014, with the individual chapters collected into 30 tankōbon volumes by Shueisha. It tells the story of a high school basketball team trying to make it to the national tournament.

By April 2014, Kuroko's Basketball had 27 million copies in circulation. It is being adapted into an anime television series by Production I.G that began airing in 2012, with a third season having started in January 2015. A sequel manga by Fujimaki titled Kuroko's Basketball: Extra Game (EXTRA GAME?) began serialization in Jump Next! on December 29, 2014. Viz Media has licensed the manga for publication in North America.

The basketball team of Teikō Middle School rose to distinction by demolishing all competition. The regulars of the team became known as the "Generation of Miracles". After graduating from middle school, these five stars went to different high schools with top basketball teams. However, a fact few know is that there was another player in the "Generation of Miracles": a phantom sixth man. This mysterious player is now a freshman at Seirin High, a new school with a powerful, if little-known, team. Now, Tetsuya Kuroko - "the sixth member of the "Generation of Miracles", and Taiga Kagami - a naturally talented player who spent most of middle school in the US, aim to bring Seirin to the top of Japan and begin taking on Kuroko's former teammates one by one. The series chronicles Seirin's rise to become Japan's number one high school team. The rest of the Generation of Miracles include Ryota Kise, Shintaro Midorima, Daiki Aomine, Atsushi Murasakibara and Seijuro Akashi.

ONE PUNCH MAN

 One-Punch Man  is an ongoing Japanese webcomic created by an author using the pseudonym ONE, which began publication in 2009. The series quickly went viral, surpassing 7.9 million hits in June 2012. The name is a play on the long-running children's character Anpanman, as the word punch

A digital manga remake of the series, illustrated by Yusuke Murata, began publication on Shueisha's Young Jump Web Comics website in 2012. Viz Media has licensed the remake for English serialization in its Weekly Shonen Jump digital magazine. In March 2015, it was announced that an anime adaptation had been green-lit and began airing in October 2015.

The story takes place in the fictional Japanese metropolis of City Z. The world is full of strange monsters that mysteriously appear and cause disasters. Saitama, the protagonist, is an incredibly powerful hero who easily defeats the monsters or other villains with a single punch. However, due to his overwhelming strength, Saitama has become bored with his powers and is constantly trying to find stronger opponents who can fight him.

On his adventures, he meets new friends, enemies, and his own disciple, the cyborg Genos, and joins the Heroes Association in order to gain fame for all of his efforts to defeat evil. Despite defeating many strong monsters that even the Heroes Association’s top members are unable to defeat, Saitama struggles to gain respect. Most people look down on him due to his plain physical appearance, and some accuse him of being a counterfeit hero. Only a small number of individuals recognize his incredible talent and humility towards others.
